Immortal’s second album repressed on white vinyl by Osmose. The awesome front cover features the lads in full make up showing off their silky locks. A good hair day all around, I think you’ll agree. Great band, for sure, sadly mocked a fair bit because of their OTT imagery.

“M with the I-S-T double E-Q”

Before hitting the big time (?) with Britain’s Got Talent Alesha Dixon was the MC in a 90s girl group who had a series of pretty awesome garage remixes. Matt “Jam” Lamont and DJ Face did the duties on this one (Sunship also did another) and it’s a blinder. Nice blue vinyl and all.

A full rainbow of colours on this 1987 album from Australia’s Icehouse. Man Of Colours was available on a choice of red, yellow or blue LPs but some rare, unofficial records were produced at the factory. While one of the stories say that these were mockups a better story suggests employees would produce albums for themselves after hours.

Shaped picture disc of one of Faith No More’s biggest tunes. I remember loving this when it came out but I’m not sure it’s really stood the test of time. Had forgotten about that duel guitar solo in the middle. Epic, indeed!

A side project by Iron Maiden‘s Adrian Smith released back in 1989 when Maiden were having a year off. As you might expect this is full-on 80s hard rock/metal featuring anthemic choruses, widdly solos, vocal harmonies and even a bit of classical guitar thrown in for good measure. The vinyl certainly lives up to the title being silver on one side and gold on the other. See what they did there?

An early 80s synth pop classic here that I’m sure you all know, this version on a nifty shaped picture disc. Cool stuff. If you’ve not seen it check out the video where the singer ponces around in a field with a pint-sized jester.
